Our next talk, and the last one at the United Reformed Church in Somerton, is on Wednesday 16th September at 7:30pm. I have listened to Mya talk before and she is, to say the least, different, and in great demand as a speaker. One of Somerset’s youngest birders, she has spend a great deal of her life visiting birding sites across the globe with her parents and now that she is in full time senior school education, contributes a lot of her time trying to convince her age group of the necessity to take an interest in conserving nature. The talk however is pitched at all ages and well worth listening to if only to instil a little faith that some of the younger generation are taking a real and contributing interest in nature.
For information, in October we are having to move to the Parish Rooms in the centre of Somerton for future meetings but more of that in future notices.
